I am confused now!

My understanding has been that in the UK, no infant formula which 
contains GM ingredients has yet been approved for sale. This govt. 
document from 2003 confirms this:

I have done a further web search, and can only find confirmation. The 
UK  manufacturers' association say they don't use them:

Yet your link, Valerie, indicates that GM ingredients are indeed in 
SMA in the UK.  I honestly think it is unlikely that manufacturers 
would deliberately introduce GM ingredients without getting prior 
approval - though not impossible.

I agree with Rachel that we certainly need to know this information.
