Encourage her to hand express her colostrum into a tiny storage
container, and then use the breastpump for stimulation, until her milk
"comes in". With triplets, she should probably pump about 10 times a
day, and go for at least a quart a day (32 oz) or more if she can, by 2
weeks postpartum. If she goes to visit the babies and is away from the
pump for a few hours, she can pump every hour or so until she makes up
the pumpings. Once in the middle of the night is a good idea with
multiples as well.
