Betsy, I find it hard to believe that his symptoms have anything to do with
bf. If he is taking about 2-4 oz every 2-3 hrs and has been doing this
almost from the very beginning (before ever leaving hospital), I don't think
he's ever got much breastmilk. (I could be wrong?) Compound this with the
fact that she takes him off breast x 1 wk and does not express? Again, what
kind of supply could she have?
If baby is very fussy crying at breast maybe due to hunger there? I would
look more to formula intolerance/allergy. I would encourage relactation -
fully.
