I am an Active Duty Navy Nurse who is studying for the IBLCE Exam this
year. Please forgive me for posting a personal issue...but I think it is
relevant and I need some supportive advise.

I have a 10 month old nursling who has BF perfectly since day one! I work
full time and have been able to pump enough to supply her with milk at
daycare up until this point. She is eating a full range of table foods and
gets plenty of fruits and vegetables in her diet. She is gaining weight
appropriately and very advanced developmentally. I recently found out I am
preganant again (this was planned by using NFP) and have experienced a
significant decrease in supply. An OBGYN friend recommended using
Fenugreek, but I have read this is CI during pregnancy because it causes
uterine contractions. I am hesitant to use Reglan during my first
trimester. Baby has NO interest in weaning, she has been irritable lately
because she is not getting as much milk. I think it is too early to start
her on cow's milk. I have several certified LC friends who have all advised
I give her formula... which breaks my heart. We have made it so far! Does
anyone know if you can take brewer's yeast while you are pregnant? Someone
suggested this to me yesterday, but I can't find any ifo on this. Any
suggestions for safely increasing my supply while I am pregnant would be
much appreciated.

I am scheduled to separate from the Navy in Aug 2005, right after baby #2
is born and I am looking forward to staying home w/ both of my little
ones...and tandem nursing if they choose to do so! Please help...Thank you!
