I was at our lactation course and we had a discussion on thrush and milk
storage. Usually the recommendation is not to freeze the milk during a
thrush episode to avoir reinfection but Jack Newman does say that candida
is everywhere and that you can give teh milk later to the baby. The risk
of reinfection is very low. I know I did this with my kids and I had
severe thrush but they never got reinfected.Probably my immune system is
stronger and there's too but would anybody know of a research that would
say that you can store your milk during a thrush episode.
I would appreciate your input I want to try to avoid moms not storing
there milk if they ahve a long thrush episode.
thanks
