My midwife told me that once my first baby latched properly (this was
day 3 and he had apparently never done it before, though I hadn't been
sure), that it would feel "like a baby elephant" (she worked in Bali).
It was a strange description, but spot on!
It communicated to me very clearly that it would be a *strong* feeling,
and unlike anything I had ever felt before. I actually use it
frequently with new moms myself, with attribution to explain the choice
of words :)
And thanks for the idea to contrast pull-y and pinch-y. That's great!
