For some moms with short arms or uncoordination using cradle hold can be
easiest. I've found they can still get a good asymmetrical latch if baby is on
forearm (not in crook) and head slightly extended and off the arm. I guess as I
picture it and try to put it in words the baby's head is about 1/2 or more
off the mom's arm and definitely extended so that when she moves her arm toward
her breast/body baby comes in chin first. Hope this makes sense. I clearly
remember one mom who just couldn't be comfortable with cross cradle and the
cradle as described worked beautifully for her and baby.
