This case has got me wondering too. I was also thinking about the menopause link, in the sense of hormones etc (sorry, I'm completely blank about the menopause - not going there for at least another 15 years I guess). But I was thinking whether breastfeeding could postpone the menopause in an older breastfeeding woman? Or maybe the otherway round, that the beginning of menopause could affect lactation and breastmilk production. Interesting to know how they could possibly affect each other?? Unfortunately there's nothing in the lactation texts on this (I should know after the last two months of study! ;-).
Anyone else experience with older breastfeeding women - those old enough to also experience early menopause?
