I have brought this up before but it still bothers me. The diagnosis of
"reflux" is becoming epidemic and the number of babies being put on medications is
far too many IMHO. I think there is a definite correlation to the increase
number of cases of reflux and the "back to sleep" campaign.

not to mention the new eipidemic of babies w/ plagiocephaly! every time i go
to a public place catering to babies, i see the telltale flat-backed heads
and/or the actual 'helmets' on said infants. :-(
ps - i completely agree w/ happy spitters being a laundry issue and not a
health one...my 1st 2 were like this, but # 3 also had eczema (nobody else in the
family ever has) so i explored the elimination diet route and feel certain it
was dairy sensitivity and maybe wheat, as well.
