here's a novel idea.  when we hear stuff like that from people who
should know better, maybe going ballistic in a controlled fashion is
ok.    I know this isn't a model for how we're supposed to get things
done, but frankly, physicians do speak strongly when someone's health
is endangered- I thought about that while watching "Supersize Me" and
listening to the internist question Morgan Spurlock why he would only
"consider" taking an aspirin/day and why he wouldnt' consider going
off his "ridiculous" diet.   Not a great example, I know, but there we
have an internist speaking his mind, and not mincing words.

of course, you have to gauge your audience and your words, but still,
I think that speaking out is good- in an appropriate manner.

I do recommend "Supersize Me" if only to see footage of Tommy
Thompson, Head of HHS speaking out about "obesity is not a partisan
issue"- but I guess supporting breastfeeding to prevent obesity is??
