I had lasik surgery about 3 years ago. By the way, It was the best money I
ever spent. No more glasses at the beach or while exercising! I was told
to delay the surgery until pregnancy and breastfeeding were no longer a
consideration due to hormones causng eye changes. Never got the specifics
on what changes or what hormones. However, I asked what if I change my
mind about more kids in the future, and was told that there was a small
risk of a change in my prescription with pregnancy, but even if it did
change I could always wear glasses (UGH!) or have my eyes adjusted with
additional lasik. I risk i was personally willing to take. On a side
note, My dentist told me she wouldn't provide me with a teeth bleaching kit
while I was lactation due to the "risk". I couldn't find this in Hale, but
I just got a new dentist. My personal choice, not a recommendation.
