Wise ones,
I've searched the archives and perhaps there is not much on my topic or I
can't search, well (which is not too ill-thought) but didn't find much. Last
post on "shaking milk" was in 1998 and I wondered if that information is still
valid and on what it is based.
People tell each other to not shake expressed milk to reunite the sweet and
fat layers. It is said that it will break down the aminoacids and probably
more components of the milk. How thrue and well referenced is this? Anyone
knows?
Beacause if so, I could imagine that the pure fact of expressing or pumping
would do the trick of breaking down on its own, taking into account the power
of milk squirting by some moms.
Warmly,
Gonneke van Veldhuizen, Dutch IBCLC in Germany
