In preparation for tomorrow's program, let me ask Lactnetters (a valuable
resource!) for some help:
a) On ABC's 20/20 program, Christine Beato, speaking for Tommy Thompson,
said, "I met with the industry. Because they kept calling my office every
two weeks. Every two weeks." Beato said breastfeeding advocates did not
request a meeting with her.
Can anyone tell me whether they personally did contact DHHS or Tommy
Thompson's office and offer or ask to meet with anyone in this
administration?
b) The US BF Awareness Campaign is criticized for being scary, and negative.
It is clearly not scary or negative compared to the other campaigns the Ad
Council has (past and present). How does it compare to bf campaigns in
other countries? Anyone have some examples to send me?
Yours,
Arly Helm, MS, IBCLC
