Has there ever been a study on what mom/baby pairs have infant bilirubin
rise issues? I wish to know because my neighbor who is a mother of 7 has
said all her children had newborn jaundice. She herself was never
noticeably morning sick.
I have had severe morning sickness with both daughters through the 5th
month, sorry that is how we counted in the old days.
Neither of my girls had newborn jaundice; the first was born in the hospital
and would not latch well for about 10 days and the second born at home and
latched immediately. Both were exclusively breastfed.
My firstborn daughter had severe morning sickness with her first baby, for
longer than I, and her home birth baby had no jaundice.
I keep reading that moms experiencing morning sickness give birth to
children with fewer birth defects. Does this carry over to having babies
without bilirubin issues? Are there any crossover studies?
