I agree and think of all doctors peds should be the ones to know at least 90% of what LCs know since that is one of peds focus with babies is how they eat. What a different world this would be if they did know as much as LCs. I know from working with doctors and what moms have told me and (I think) studies have shown that doctors don't know that much about breastfeeding BUT moms and others think drs know more about breastfeeding than nurses/LCs/LLL since they are a "MD". It would be wonderful if the ped was on the same page as LCs. I feel so bad for moms who get great information from LCs/LLL and get conflicting information from doctors. It is very hard for moms to know what to do.
