I listen to Good Morning America on the way to work. They mentioned 2 or 3
times that they would talk about BF as good for mom too (those teasers, TV
sta waste time on:-( They finally got to it in the last segment and it was
nice, the usual (ut to normal size sooner, lose weight) plus benefits
related to reduced Ca of br and ovaries! Had BFing Dr. mom of BF 7 week
old and her other son, BF one year. He gave the benefits for babies and was
so sweet. (I don't know his age, can't see program, only hear it on radio.)
The dr said something to the effect that moms having problems with BF may be
encouraged to stick to it, knowing these mom benefits. There was some
blather about moms who can't BF. Sorry it is hard to listen closely and
drive at same time.
Anyway it was such a pleasant change to hear BF promoted during "BF
Awareness Week" on GMA, instead of the usual yearly horror story about BF
that always seems to come out during Aug 1-7 !
