When I took dairy out of my diet, my son stopped spitting up totally. He was one of those you had to have a towel or cloth diaper ready after every feeding. And the one diaper for catching spit up was so soaked you could not re-use it. He had a good weight gain and I don't remember a pattern of green stools. He also had ear infections starting at 2 months old and was fussy all the time from them but the spitting up didn't bother him. Casein and whey are dairy products that are hidden in processed foods, breads, margarines, etc. We also found that eggs, wheat, strawberries, and cats bothered him (but those only caused the nasal congestion).
Good luck, Kathy Eng
