As a mom of a girl who was jaundiced, I can se a very clear
relationship between not getting enough breastmilk and jaundice and
sleepiness. Our daughter got too little milk (had a rought time
getting her to drink from the breast and little or no help from the
hospital staff), so she went on 'economy', very sleepy. I very much
believe that the factor that she didn't get enough milk also
contributed a lot to her developing jaundice.
So there you have one major cause for two conditions...
