Funny about this thread that came up - and that I am enjoying at least as
much as Rachel ;-)
A few days ago I had written an email to Naomi Bar-Yam to ask her if young
hebrew children have a special baby word to ask for breast, like when they
say boobie or ninnie in english. Since the language thread came up here in
lactnet, we both thought it was a good question to post.
BTW, in spanish (from Spain) a young child will usually say teta.
My eleven month old baby girl has no special word, she says mama and pats
my chest with a big smile.
So, are there any knowledgable hebrew women around who can answer me, if
young hebrew children have a special baby word to ask for breast?
Warmly,
Kika Baeza
