least, to be more common in Latina and Asian, dark skinned women. I have
the mothers use cold compresses and cabbage to reduce the swelling. I tell
them to be careful to avoid touching the breast itself with the cabbage or
the cold compress. One mother I worked with recently, had had her Tail of
Spence swelling reduce on it's own, only to have it enlarge again, with a
bout of mastitis. She has no nipple on it, and it could also be lymph
tissue.

Engorgement or "dry up" tricks seem to work well, if the swelling is
bothering the mother. I also always tell the clients not to try to express
any milk from the tiny nipple, if they have one, as this will cause the
swelling to continue. (Many are so facinated by this tiny brest that they
try to express from it.)
