I refer to the last guidelines for authors in the Feb issue of JHL. I
believe they request breastfeeding (one word) and breast milk (two).

RE:"Can anyone explain why sometimes we see "breastfeeding" with a hyphen
(breast-feeding) and sometimes not?

It seems to me that breastfeeding knowledgable and supportive people use
"breastfeeding" (no hyphen), while newspaper articles or people that aren't
used to using the word, use the hyphen (breast-feed, or breast-milk) or
seperate the words completely (breast feed, breast milk)."
