This month's issue of AJN (Vol 105, No 1, Jan 05, pg 40 - 51) has a fabulous CE article on Breastfeeding in Nonmaternity Settings by Jeannette Crenshaw, Dallas TX.
It needs to be required reading for EVERY nurse in EVERY hospital :-) It focuses on preserving breastfeeding where ever a nursing mother intersects with the health system.
Also focuses on the benefits of BF to children, mothers and society!
I know a lot of doctors who also need to read it :-) I'll give it out at our staff meeting next week. They are so looking forward nowdays to what I bring every other month (ha). I think I'll try to get to the ER staff meeting and do ditto.
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
