does discuss lactiferous sinuses, which admittedly aren't documented as
definable structures in current ultrasound studies. But it's still an
excellent how-to to share with a mother -- the photos really help.
Instead of telling the mother to position the fingers at some arbitrary
distance behind the nipple, the instructions encourage her to do some
preliminary massage and experiment and feel around for little lumpy
areas, hopefully filled with milk. (In some previous Lactnet discussion
about milk sinuses, someone proposed an acronym along the lines of
"PWYPYFs" for "place where you put your fingers.")
