Hello,
I have a friend (previous LLL and mother of 3 BF children) who was a
surrogate mother. She has been pumping for the baby for 6 weeks. It is
time to dry up the milk, as the 'contract' was for 6 weeks. She has been
using a hospital grade pump, and getting 7 oz at a session (wow). She was
pumping every 2 and then every 4 hours, recently every 6.
She is drinking sage tea and using cabbage leaves. Pumping was stopped
yesterday, Tuesday, Aug 3. Previous to that, she was pumping just enough to
relieve pain. She's uncomfortable.
Any suggestions for her? How long can she expect to dry up?
Thank you and I'd be glad to add any additional information if you need it.
It's been an interesting process, too much to add here...
Thank you
Frances Coss
