I don't think it makes any sense at all to re-sub and restrict access to
posting, *without* also restricting access to the archives.  Right now, if
anyone wants to read any post, they do not have to be subscribed.  They
just have to go to the archive website and they can read all the posts,
even right after they are posted.

Again, it makes no sense to do the one without doing the other.

Re dead addresses, the listserv is set up so that "dead" addresses are
automatically deleted, so that really isn't an issue.

My personal preference is for restricting access across the board.
