I know, search the archives, but this is such a quickie I hope you don't
mind. I just need to know if clipping at 2 months is no longer an easy in office
procedure. Is it still okay to take care of without the anesthesia and
cauterizing? In my area there is an oral surgeon who will only do the procedure on
older babies and use anesthesia and cauterize, which means months of issues
before fixing. Just now hearing of this and need to know before I share with
mom an option, if there is an option. I know plenty of docs who will do this in
office--sadly 3 in the same practice she went to so why her ped did not just
go across the hall...but that is another issue....She doesn't want to wait,
might be able to convince oral surgeon to do it sooner. BUT, if it is still not
too old to do it the usual quick snip go home way, I'd like to share that and
the names with her.
Thanks,
