If I remember correctly- weren't those 4-6 month guidelines the ones
established by the AAP committee on Infant Nutrition years ago?  I know
there is much arguement about these "old" recommendations and the current
AAP Breastfeeding Committee recommendations but as we've seen - not all
sections of the AAP are as supportive or up todate on what other internal
committee recommendations/  are in relation to  breastfeeding.  ( Snide
asides- as in the President of the AAP not even knowing what the AAP
committee on Breastfeeding's  stance and recommendations were in relation
to the Breastfeeding National Campaign before discussing this issue and
steping on his tongue during the 20/20 episode..... though he had taken
time to find out  the Formula companies ($$) stance .... 'nough said!)
