Danielle,
If the baby has a severe Pierre Robin problem... just getting him to
successfully grow is a big deal. Feed him however you can. I worked with a
mother for months whose baby had to have a stomach tube and a tracheotomy
because his breathing was such a problem because of the small airway. The
mother I worked with got an electric double pump and pumped for almost a
year. She had tons of milk. She wanted to nurse that little baby so bad...
and he did enjoy snuggling and trying to feed, but he had a terrible time
very early. Good luck with this mother, she'll appreciate all you help.
