Of course, a PNP is the perfect person to be functioning as LC. The first
person that came to my mind is Kittie Frantz. Kittie has worked with
breastfeeding babies for YEARS and tho she is not IBCLC (she is on the ULCA CLE and CLC
faculty) she is widely known as an expert in breastfeeding. I know she has
presented numerous times at PNP Conferences over the years and I recall that
she was encouraging NAPNAP to offer more detailed training in breastfeeding.
FNPs are also in a perfect "position" to work as LC.
