Linda, you have posed some really really good questions.  I don't know  the
answers -- I'm sure hoping someone else here on Lactnet does!!  If not,  then I
think we have to go with common sense yet again, and take our best  guess.
My final answer is:  if it smells OK & tastes OK, then it  is probably OK --
regardless of what we have done to it or for it or with  it.
