I am working with a mom seeking advice wrt an upcoming treatment using 2 vials of botox 3 times/yr. for migraine relief. She has tried all the standard rx approaches for migraines--this is a last resort to cut down on the meds she takes. Breastfed infant is seven months old. I have the Hale reference that discusses the one mother who got botulism poisoning but her breastfed infant was fine. Is there anything more recent than this? The last time I could find discussion on this subject on Lactnet in the archives was from 2002. Anyone know of case studies where moms were injected with a higher dose than cosmetic surgery?
TIA,
Laurie Moody, CLC
