Hello,

Is it my imagination or did the FDA's domperidone warning get far more
mainstream press than the Pediatrics study which found that at least
720 babies die in the USA each year from artificial feeding?

Now the domperidone controversy is finally getting some less credulous
press - see

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A59116-2004Jun21?
language=printer

which quotes Tom Hale, and goes on to say
---
"FDA officials denied political motives and stood firm, citing case
studies that link the intravenous form of the drug to cardiac arrest
and death; the data are unclear, says the agency, about the pill, which
carries a lower dose."
---

"The data are unclear"? As in, "there are zero reported cases in the
literature"? That sort of unclear data?

Lara Hopkins
