This worries me, too.
Reflux is becoming the 'diagnosis du jour' in the UK.
It used to be that any unexplained crying was 'colic'; gradually, I
am hearing from mothers they have been told (or they have diagnosed
themselves through reading the internet) their baby has reflux.
Often, they are describing what sounds to me like a baby who is
crying *for a reason* and that reason is often that they want, and
are not getting, unrestricted access to the breast.
Reflux is still a minority interest among mothers and babies, but it
is growing, and I don't think this is entirely a good thing.
