Hello,
I realize this is probably off topic of this list somewhat, I'm sorry
for that. I just wanted to make a quick note so as to not leave
misconceptions.
I'm sorry about the part of gallstones being formed in the liver. I
might have misunderstood whether all gallstones are formed in liver or
in gallbladder. I'm not sure. It seems, if I understood it right, that
they can start at liver too and go to gallbladder and grow in there, or
maybe they start forming in gallbladder, or both. The idea of them
starting inside liver is mainly based on the fact that some people who
have their gallbladders totally removed, still get stones even after
surgery. That seemed a valid argument to me, however maybe it is not
true. But the cleanse still works, whether the stones started inside
liver or gallgladder.
The "flush" might be misleading name also for this cleanse. Nothing
goes inside liver or gallbladder in it. But there certainly is logic to
the thing. On the day of cleanse, you eat breakfast and lunch but no
fat. This causes bile to get stored up in gallbladder. Then no food
after that so as to have empty stomach in the evening. The olive oil
(with lemon juice) is ingested, goign through stomach quickly since
stomach doesn't digest fats, and when this large amount of fat enters
duodenum all at once, the gallbladder releases a large amount of bile
all at once (so as to digest the fat), and with this some of the
gallstones also go down to duodenum, and on to be excreted later. I
guess the gallbladder "flushes" itself empty; maybe that's why the
cleanse is called a flush.
Curezone.com is not the only website that you can find info on this
cleanse. Their page http://www.curezone.com/cleanse/liver/ has lots of
links though to variations of it, safety issues, facts, people's
testimonials, pictures etc. But other holistic medicine people also
recommend it and you can find reference to it on a lot of websites if
you search the web for gallbladder cleanse/flush or liver cleanse/flush.
I'm not saying that everything found on curezone.com is right though.
It is a huge website spanning tons of health issues and tons of people
writing on their messageboards. They are especially known for their
emphasis on liver cleanse, bowel cleanse and parasite cleanse.
It is wise to study into things and do research, contact other people
etc on this issue as with other medical issues. I wouldn't advice doing
this cleanse just 'out of blue' but instead study into it first. There
may be some dangers though in general it does sound like lots and lots
of people have done it safely.
Surgery has its dangers too, so it might be a matter of judging these
different aspects and risks and then let each individual choose. But I
just thought it might be nice to know the cleanse exists, because it
might help someone, it's fairly easy, quick, and cheap to do.
