Hi, Elaine: Of course, your frustration is no different than in any other
setting working with any other doc. I have always maintained (and my docs
who've worked with me for any length of time know this)that if a doc orders
a supplement for whatever reason, it is up to the mom, with my assistance,
if needed, to decide what milk (human or that other stuff) and method of
delivery (breast, bottle, etc.) will be used to feed the baby. That is NOT
a "medical" decision. What is really ironic, is that most of these orders
are written (as you post, Elaine) with mom's cups running over! Duh!
Good Luck!
