Update on my  post dated 23/7/04 

I spoke to the mother to-day and she has continued to pump for 5 days, the mastitis has resolved.  But she has decided to wean.  As Jean suggested I asked how did she feel now and she said she was releived that she has made the decision to wean, she will wean slowly so that she wont increase the risk of mastitis again

And she is now enjoying  her baby
