I work with an OB doctor who asks alot of questions about all sorts of
things...most of the time we are able to find an answer to the questions.
He has me stumped this time!
Here is the question: "Does a baby fed expressed breastmilk most of the
time (as opposed to being nursed most of the time) gain weight quicker?".
He was looking for actual research.....I could find none.
My gut feeling is that some might...especially if the mother has induced a
huge supply and feeds the baby like a bottle fed baby is usually fed (huge
quantities given infrequently)....but could find no research to support
this thought.
Thanks!
