It used to be common.  However, it is inappropriate use of something
designed for another use.  I'm sure the hospital's legal division would be
glad to explain that to her :-)  Pat in SNJ

PS: show her where you keep nipple shields if she really feels she MUST do
something in the middle of the night.

Thinking about it a little, maybe she can watch that good video of
assymetrical latch.  You definitely need to get your supervisor in on this
to  retrain this nurse in the nicest way.
