The herpes virus lies dormant along the nerve pathways, as I understand it.
The possibility does exist that if the virus reactivates she can get it on
nipples again. However I have not seen this nor heard of it as a common
problem. The best she can do is stay in good health, good immune system and
not stressed out. This will really help prevent future outbreaks.
