I can't find any trial-based evidence on this, either. Myself and a lot
of pumpmoms women have re-offered fresh milk (within 48 hours of
pumping, refrigerated; or freshly pumped) for up to 2-4 hours depending
on personal comfort levels. I don't personally know of anyone who has
had a problem with this. Smelling/tasting the milk never revealed signs
of spoilage on this routine. I tried to warm milk minimally or not at
all if I suspected I would need to re-offer; and either refrigerated it
or kept it cool between feeding sessions.
