Coming out of lurkdom once again...
I am putting together a case presentation on the management of blebs
and have a question. Are IBCLC's allowed to open blebs using sterile
needles? I have reviewed my own textbooks, and the only reference to
this I found was in Ruth Lawrence's book. She states blebs may be
opened by a "health professional". That sort of leaves room for
discussion.
If anyone has a link to a more specific statement from ILCA or the
IBCLE, would you be so kind as to post it here?
