Hello, again, Cindi.
I have seen hyperthyroid problems present in different ways. Some
moms have had trouble making enough milk. And a doctor in my area agrees that he
has seen both low thyroid and high thyroid cause mothers to have trouble
making enough milk.
But I have also known of a couple of mothers who had way too much milk
when they were hyperthyroid. They constantly felt tight and full, and they
leaked all the time. When the thyroid levels became more appropriate, these
mothers stopped leaking all the time and became much more comfortable.
