Hi Everyone:
I have a primip and new baby born at home on Friday. Baby was posterior
with a long push-out and lots of molding and caput. He is not nursing well at
all and his jaw is very tight. When he nurses (or sucks on finger) he is
clamping down and then trying to suck. He will take breast into mouth, clamp
down, then do nothing. When he does finally latch on, his jaw is not moving
smoothly during sucking. The left side of his jaw seems to be "popping" when he
is sucking. I remember reading about what to do for this, but can't find it
in archives. So if anyone can help or give me some good keywords to find
more info, I would greatly appreciate it. We would like to have baby get an
adjustment, but are having some trouble finding someone in our area (parents
don't drive-Amish, so long distances are difficult). thanks!!!
