Mom could tell the optometrist that she intends to breastfeed for a few
years, and wants to be able to see during that time. (Seriously, I
would encourage her to get her lenses from someone else, and stop
patronizing someone so controlling. Make her walk around with one lens
for 6 weeks, arrgh. I get nauseous just thinking about it)
Personally, I wore the same pair of (rigid) contact lenses for 10 years,
through 2 pregnancies and lactations. Obly had to replace them because
I lost one.
