It's really easy to determine if your son is immune...it's a simple
blood test.  We didn't know if my husband was immune, as his parents are
both dead.  We asked for the test and he is.

We don't do many vaccinations, so our answer to chickenpox is if our
kids don't get it by age 12 or so, we will check for immunity (they've
been exposed, they could have had a mild case without us knowing, or I
could have passed on immunity through BF) and if they don't have
immunity, we will give them the vaccine.
