Pat,
I assume the mother was treated at the time of her baby's birth. Is mom
still a carrier? And if so would this be a problem for another healthy
breastfed baby?
Thank you,
Star Siegfried RN,BA,IBCLC

I got a call from a mom who is in the hospital pumping and dumping
after a radiologic procedure. Her baby is 8 weeks old. She is getting
local donor milk from a mom who is GBS+. Do you think this is a
problem for the hospitalized mother's baby? My feeling is no but I'm
not sure? I know it would be a problem for a neonate but this kido is
2 months old.
Help.....I need your thoughts fast.
Thanks,
Star Siegfried
