I have been contacted by a mother of a 19-day-old baby who appears
unable to feed from the breast or the bottle and is at present
receiving ebm through a tube. He has a small chin, small tongue and
apparent facial paralysis. He is being looked at for moebius
syndrome, but the specialist has said 'come back in 6 months and I
will be able to be sure'. He has none of the more obvious features of
this condition.
I have checked the archives and they don't yield anything positive,
but maybe I haven't looked properly.
This mother wants very much to bf...she wanted to know if there was
any gadget or gizmo to help. A speech and language therapist is
investigating feeders for her, and may come up with the Habermann, I
don't know.
Any info or experience?
