My independent, community radio station has been playing the PSAs. Most
radio stations are owned by Clear Channel, the same corporation which gave
all radio stations a "Do Not Play" song list at the beginning of the current
Iraq war (it included Cat Steven's "Peace Train," among others).
I do not know what connection Clear Channel may have to the formula
industry, but I would not be at all surprised to find there was one.
BTW, John McCutcheon has a very funny song in which he complains about NOT
being on "The List." See
http://www.folkmusic.com/record/r_chief.htm#The%20List%20(2001)
Or google John McCutcheon, go to songs, look up "The List"
