Hello,
I haven't posted to this list for a long time. I am always grateful to have
this resource available. A mother contacted me (her post is below) about
ongoing pain in her breast a year after weaning. I have her permission to
post. She was treated (extensively) for yeast. Any information, ideas,
resources etc. would be most appreciated. I have searched the archives and
there is plenty about breast pain while nursing but not so long after
weaning. I haven't run across anything like this before.
Thank You,
Wendi Jones

< I had a very severe case of thrush and was on Fluconazole for 3 months and
the thrush still came back. I then followed with Itraconazole for another 8
weeks and finally the thrush was gone, however, I continue to have pain in
one of my breasts and it has been a year since I weaned. Could the thrush
have permanently damaged my milk ducts? I have already seen a doctor and
ruled out everything else. Any help or advice would be appreciated. If you
can direct me to an area for more research that would be great too.>
