I think the potential difficulty with the shells is that in order to
have any chance of being effective, they have to stay exactly
placed. In other words, the nipple must remain centered in the
hole. It seems to me that the flatter mom's nipples are, the harder
it would be to keep them where you want them. Even with normal
activity, unless mom is wearing very tight bras, they can shift.
Then instead of an opening over the nipple, there is plastic
pressing against the nipple. This would be exactly counter to what
you are trying to achieve!
